| حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، دَعَا رَجُلٌ بِالبَقِيعِ : ” يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : لَمْ أَعْنِكَ ، قَالَ : سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكْتَنُوا بِكُنْيَتِي ” . |

| ´ہم سے مالک بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے زبیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے حمید نے، اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` ایک شخص نے بقیع میں (کسی کو) پکارا ”اے ابوالقاسم“ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی طرف دیکھا، تو اس شخص نے کہا کہ میں نے آپ کو نہیں پکارا۔ اس دوسرے آدمی کو پکارا تھا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا میرے نام پر نام رکھا کرو لیکن میری کنیت نہ رکھا کرو۔ |

| Narrated Anas: A man at Al-Baqi’ called, “O Abul-Qasim!” The Prophet turned to him and the man said (to the Prophet ), “I did not intend to call you.” The prophet said, “Name yourselves by my name but not by my Kunya (name). |
