| حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً جَاءَتْ تَسْأَلُهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : أَعَاذَكِ اللَّهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، فَسَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُعَذَّبُ النَّاسُ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ” عَائِذًا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . |

| ´ہم سے اسماعیل بن عبداللہ بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے یحییٰ بن سعید انصاری سے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن نے، ان سے عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ` ایک یہودی عورت ان کے پاس کچھ مانگنے آئی۔ اس نے کہا کہ آپ کو اللہ تعالیٰ قبر کے عذاب سے بچائے، انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا کہ کیا قبر میں بھی عذاب ہو گا؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے (یہ سن کر) فرمایا کہ میں اللہ کی اس سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ |

| Narrated `Amra bint `Abdur-Rahman: A Jewess came to `Aisha to ask her about something and then she said, “May Allah give you refuge from the punishment of the grave.” So `Aisha asked Allah’s Apostle, “Would the people be punished in their graves?” Allah’s Apostle asked Allah’s refuge from the punishment of the grave (indicating an affirmative reply). |
