| حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ وَهُوَ جَدُّهُ أَبُو أُمِّهِ ، قَالَ : ” نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ النُّهْبَى وَالْمُثْلَةِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عدی بن ثابت نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ` میں نے عبداللہ بن یزید انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، جو عدی بن ثابت کے نانا تھے۔ کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوٹ مار کرنے اور مثلہ کرنے سے منع فرمایا تھا۔ |

| Narrated `Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Ansari: The Prophet forbade robbery (taking away what belongs to others without their permission), and also forbade mutilation (or maiming) of bodies. |
