| حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا , قَالَتْ : ” أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ الْبَيْعَةِ أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ فَمَا وَفَتْ مِنَّا امْرَأَةٌ غَيْرَ خَمْسِ نِسْوَةٍ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأُمِّ الْعَلَاءِ وَابْنَةِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ امْرَأَةِ مُعَاذٍ وَامْرَأَتَيْنِ أَوْ ابْنَةِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ وَامْرَأَةِ مُعَاذٍ وَامْرَأَةٍ أُخْرَى ” . |

| ´ہم سے عبداللہ بن عبدالوہاب نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ایوب سختیانی نے ‘ ان سے محمد نے اور ان سے ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیعت لیتے وقت ہم سے یہ عہد بھی لیا تھا کہ ہم (میت پر) نوحہ نہیں کریں گی۔ لیکن اس اقرار کو پانچ عورتوں کے سوا اور کسی نے پورا نہیں کیا۔ یہ عورتیں ام سلیم ‘ ام علاء ‘ ابوسبرہ کی صاحبزادی جو معاذ کے گھر میں تھیں اور اس کے علاوہ دو عورتیں یا (یہ کہا کہ) ابوسبرہ کی صاحبزادی، معاذ کی بیوی اور ایک دوسری خاتون (رضی اللہ عنہن)۔ |

| Narrated Um ‘Atiyya: At the time of giving the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet one of the conditions was that we would not wail, but it was not fulfilled except by five women and they are Um Sulaim, Um Al-`Ala’, the daughter of Abi Sabra (the wife of Mu`adh), and two other women; or the daughter of Abi Sabra and the wife of Mu`adh and another woman. |
