| حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِشِعْرِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ” وَأَبْيَضَ يُسْتَسْقَى الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْهِهِ ثِمَالُ الْيَتَامَى عِصْمَةٌ لِلْأَرَامِلِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے عمرو بن علی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابو قتیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ بن دینار نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے، کہا کہ` میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو ابوطالب کا یہ شعر پڑھتے سنا تھا (ترجمہ) گورا ان کا رنگ ان کے منہ کے واسطہ سے بارش کی (اللہ سے) دعا کی جاتی ہے۔ یتیموں کی پناہ اور بیواؤں کے سہارے۔“ |

| Narrated `Abdullah bin Dinar: My father said, “I heard Ibn `Umar reciting the poetic verses of Abu Talib: And a white (person) (i.e. the Prophet) who is requested to pray for rain and who takes care of the orphans and is the guardian of widows.” |
