| وَقَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ ، قَالَتْ : فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ فَخَطَبَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ |

| ´اور ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھے فاطمہ بنت منذر نے خبر دی، ان سے اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ` جب سورج صاف ہو گیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خطبہ دیا۔ پہلے اللہ تعالیٰ کی شان کے مطابق اس کی تعریف کی اس کے بعد فرمایا «أما بعد» ۔ |

| And this was narrated by Asma’ who said, “Allah’s Messenger (saws) finished the eclipse prayer and by then the sun (eclipse) had cleared. Then he delivered the Khutba (religious talk) and praised Allah as He deserved and then said Amma ba’du.” |
