| حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ جَابِرًا , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا , قَالَ : ” صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِيًا جَمِيعًا وَسَبْعًا جَمِيعًا , قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ أَظُنُّهُ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ وَعَجَّلَ الْعَصْرَ وَعَجَّلَ الْعِشَاءَ وَأَخَّرَ الْمَغْرِبَ ، قَالَ : وَأَنَا أَظُنُّهُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے عمرو بن دینار سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے ابوالشعثاء جابر بن عبداللہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ` میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ آٹھ رکعت ایک ساتھ (ظہر اور عصر) اور سات رکعت ایک ساتھ (مغرب اور عشاء ملا کر) پڑھیں۔ (بیچ میں سنت وغیرہ کچھ نہیں) ابوالشعثاء سے میں نے کہا میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ظہر آخر وقت میں اور عصر اول وقت میں پڑھی ہو گی۔ اسی طرح مغرب آخر وقت میں پڑھی ہو گی اور عشاء اول وقت میں۔ ابوالشعثاء نے کہا کہ میرا بھی یہی خیال ہے۔ |

| Narrated `Amr: I heard Abu Ash-sha’tha’ Jabir saying, “I heard Ibn `Abbas saying, ‘I offered with Allah’s Apostle eight rak`at (of Zuhr and `Asr prayers) together and seven rak`at (the Maghrib and the `Isha’ prayers) together.’ ” I said, “O Abu Ash-shatha! I think he must have prayed the Zuhr late and the `Asr early; the `Isha early and the Maghrib late.” Abu Ash-sha’tha’ said, “I also think so.” (See Hadith No. 518 Vol. 1). |
