| حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : ” قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهْرًا حِينَ قُتِلَ الْقُرَّاءُ ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَزِنَ حُزْنًا قَطُّ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے عمرو بن علی نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے محمد بن فضیل نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے عاصم احول نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` جب قاریوں کی ایک جماعت شہید کر دی گئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک مہینہ تک قنوت پڑھتے رہے۔ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کبھی نہیں دیکھا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان دنوں سے زیادہ کبھی غمگین رہے ہوں۔ |

| Narrated Anas: When the reciters of Qur’an were martyred, Allah’s Apostle recited Qunut for one month and I never saw him (i.e. Allah’s Apostle) so sad as he was on that day. |
