| حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : ” إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ جِنَازَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَاشِيًا مَعَهَا ، فَلْيَقُمْ حَتَّى يُخَلِّفَهَا أَوْ تُخَلِّفَهُ أَوْ تُوضَعَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُخَلِّفَهُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے لیث بن سعد نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے عامر بن ربیعہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالہ سے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب تم میں سے کوئی جنازہ دیکھے تو اگر اس کے ساتھ نہیں چل رہا ہے تو کھڑا ہی ہو جائے تاآنکہ جنازہ آگے نکل جائے یا آگے جانے کی بجائے خود جنازہ رکھ دیا جائے۔ |

| Narrated ‘Amir bin Rabi`a: The Prophet said, “If any one of you see a funeral procession and he is not going along with it, then he should stand and remain standing till he gets behind it, or it leaves him behind, or the coffin is put down before it goes ahead of him . “ |
