| حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : ” إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا ، فَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَا يَقْعُدْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ ” . |

| ´ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ہشام دستوائی نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے، ان سے ابوسلمہ اور ان سے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب تم لوگ جنازہ دیکھو تو کھڑے ہو جاؤ اور جو شخص جنازہ کے ساتھ چل رہا ہو وہ اس وقت تک نہ بیٹھے جب تک جنازہ رکھ نہ دیا جائے۔ |

| Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, “When you see a funeral procession, you should stand up, and whoever accompanies it should not sit till the coffin is put down.” |
