| حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , قَالَ : حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : ” أَسْرِعُوا بِالْجِنَازَةِ فَإِنْ تَكُ صَالِحَةً فَخَيْرٌ تُقَدِّمُونَهَا إِلَيْهِ ، وَإِنْ يَكُ سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَشَرٌّ تَضَعُونَهُ عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ ” . |

| ´ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے زہری سے سن کر یہ حدیث یاد کی ‘ انہوں نے سعید بن مسیب سے اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جنازہ لے کر جلد چلا کرو کیونکہ اگر وہ نیک ہے تو تم اس کو بھلائی کی طرف نزدیک کر رہے ہو اور اگر اس کے سوا ہے تو ایک شر ہے جسے تم اپنی گردنوں سے اتارتے ہو۔ |

| Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Hurry up with the dead body for if it was righteous, you are forwarding it to welfare; and if it was otherwise, then you are putting off an evil thing down your necks.” |
