| حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، أَن عُقْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَدَّثَهُ , قَالَ : ” صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ فَأَسْرَعَ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ خَرَجَ فَقُلْتُ أَوْ قِيلَ لَهُ : فَقَالَ : كُنْتُ خَلَّفْتُ فِي الْبَيْتِ تِبْرًا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُبَيِّتَهُ فَقَسَمْتُهُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے ابوعاصم نبیل نے عمر بن سعید سے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے کہ عقبہ بن حارث رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے بیان کیا کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عصر کی نماز ادا کی پھر جلدی سے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم گھر میں تشریف لے گئے۔ تھوڑی دیر بعد باہر تشریف لے آئے۔ اس پر میں نے پوچھا یا کسی اور نے پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں گھر کے اندر صدقہ کے سونے کا ایک ٹکڑا چھوڑ آیا تھا مجھے یہ بات پسند نہیں آئی کہ اسے تقسیم کئے بغیر رات گزاروں پس میں نے اس کو بانٹ دیا۔ |

| Narrated `Uqba bin Al-Harith: Once the Prophet offered the `Asr prayer and then hurriedly went to his house and returned immediately. I (or somebody else) asked him (as to what was the matter) and he said, “I left at home a piece of gold which was from the charity and I disliked to let it remain a night in my house, so I got it distributed . “ |
