| حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي صَفْوَانُ بْنُ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : ” كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ ، فِيهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ ، أَوْ نَحْوُهُ ، كَانَ عُمَرُ ، يَقُولُ لِي : تُحِبُّ إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ أَنْ تَرَاهُ ؟ فَنَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : اصْنَعْ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ مَا تَصْنَعُ فِي حَجِّكَ . |

| ´ہم سے ابوالولید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہمام نے بیان کیا ہم سے عطاء نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے صفوان بن یعلیٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے کہ` میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں ایک شخص جو جبہ پہنے ہوئے تھا حاضر ہوا اور اس پر زردی یا اسی طرح کی کسی خوشبو کا نشان تھا۔ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ مجھ سے کہا کرتے تھے کیا تم چاہتے ہو کہ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر وحی نازل ہونے لگے تو تم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھ سکو؟ اس وقت آپ پر وحی نازل ہوئی پھر وہ حالت جاتی رہی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جس طرح اپنے حج میں کرتے ہو اسی طرح عمرہ میں بھی کرو۔ |

| Narrated Ya’li: While I was with Allah’s Apostle there came to him a man wearing a cloak having a trace of yellowish perfume or a similar thing on it. `Umar used to say to me, “Would you like to see the Prophet at the time when he is inspired divinely?” So, it happened that he was inspired (then) and when the inspiration was over the Prophet said (to that man), “Do in your `Umra the same as you do in your Hajj.” |
