| حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَلَامٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ صِيَامِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : ” مَا كُنْتُ أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَرَاهُ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ صَائِمًا إِلَّا رَأَيْتُهُ ، وَلَا مُفْطِرًا إِلَّا رَأَيْتُهُ ، وَلَا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ قَائِمًا إِلَّا رَأَيْتُهُ ، وَلَا نَائِمًا إِلَّا رَأَيْتُهُ ، وَلَا مَسِسْتُ خَزَّةً وَلَا حَرِيرَةً أَلْيَنَ مِنْ كَفِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا شَمِمْتُ مِسْكَةً وَلَا عَبِيرَةً أَطْيَبَ رَائِحَةً مِنْ رَائِحَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ” . |

| ´ہم سے محمد بن سلام نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو ابوخالد احمر نے خبر دی، کہا کہ ہم کو حمید نے خبر دی، کہا کہ` میں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے روزوں کے متعلق پوچھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ جب بھی میرا دل چاہتا کہ آپ کو روزے سے دیکھوں تو میں آپ کو روزے سے ہی دیکھتا۔ اور بغیر روزے کے چاہتا تو بغیر روزے سے ہی دیکھتا۔ رات میں کھڑے (نماز پڑھتے) دیکھنا چاہتا تو اسی طرح نماز پڑھتے دیکھتا۔ اور سوتے ہوئے دیکھنا چاہتا تو اسی طرح دیکھتا۔ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے مبارک ہاتھوں سے زیادہ نرم و نازک ریشم کے کپڑوں کو بھی نہیں دیکھا۔ اور نہ مشک و عنبر کو آپ کی خوشبو سے زیادہ خوشبودار پایا۔ |

| Narrated Humaid: I asked Anas about the fasting of the Prophet. He said “Whenever I liked to see the Prophet fasting in any month, I could see that, and whenever I liked to see him not fasting, I could see that too, and if I liked to see him praying in any night, I could see that, and if I liked to see him sleeping, I could see that, too.” Anas further said, “I never touched silk or velvet softer than the hand of Allah’s Apostle and never smelled musk or perfumed smoke more pleasant than the smell of Allah’s Apostle.” |
