| حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : ” بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْلًا قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ ، فَجَاءَتْ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي حَنِيفَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ ثُمَامَةُ بْنُ أُثَالٍ ، فَرَبَطُوهُ بِسَارِيَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے سعید بن ابی سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، آپ نے بیان کیا کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سواروں کا ایک لشکر نجد کی طرف بھیجا جو بنو حنیفہ کے ایک شخص ثمامہ بن اثال کو پکڑ لائے۔ اور مسجد کے ایک ستون سے اس کو باندھ دیا۔ |

| Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet sent some horsemen to Najd and they arrested and brought a man called Thumama bin Uthal from the tribe of Bani Hanifa, and they fastened him to one of the pillars of the Mosque. |
