| حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ” أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا يَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى صَحَابَتِهِ ضَحَايَا ، فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ ، فَذَكَرَهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ ” . |

| ´ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا، ان سے یزید بن ابی حبیب نے، ان سے ابوالخیر نے اور ان سے عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں بکریاں دی تھیں کہ قربانی کے لیے ان کو صحابہ میں تقسیم کر دیں۔ پھر ایک سال کا بکری کا بچہ بچ گیا تو انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کا ذکر کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عقبہ سے فرمایا تو اس کی قربانی کر لے۔ |

| Narrated `Uqba bin ‘Amir: that Allah’s Apostle gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions in order to sacrifice them and a kid was left. He told the Prophet about it and the Prophet said to him, “Sacrifice it on your behalf.” |
