| حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : “مَنْ أَعْتَقَ عَبْدًا بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ مُوسِرًا قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يُعْتَقُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن دینار نے، ان سے سالم نے اور ان سے ان کے والد نے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا دو ساجھیوں کے درمیان ساجھے کے غلام کو اگر کسی ایک ساجھی نے آزاد کیا، تو اگر آزاد کرنے والا مالدار ہے تو باقی حصوں کی قیمت کا اندازہ کیا جائے گا۔ پھر (اسی کی طرف سے) پورے غلام کو آزاد کر دیا جائے گا۔ |

| Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, “Whoever manumits a slave owned by two masters, should manumit him completely (not partially) if he is rich after having its price evaluated.” |
