| حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، قَالَ : زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : “أَهْدَى إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةَ سِيَرَاءَ فَلَبِسْتُهَا ، فَرَأَيْتُ الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ ، فَشَقَقْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي ” . |

| ´ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے عبدالمالک بن میسرہ نے خبر دی، کہا کہ میں نے زید بن وہب سے سنا کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے ایک ریشمی حلہ ہدیہ میں دیا تو میں نے اسے پہن لیا۔ لیکن جب غصے کے آثار روئے مبارک پر دیکھے تو اسے اپنی عورتوں میں پھاڑ کر تقسیم کر دیا۔ |

| Narrated `Ali: The Prophet gave me a silken dress as a gift and I wore it. When I saw the signs of anger on his face, I cut it into pieces and distributed it among my wives.” |
