| حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ اسْتَفْتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ ، فَقَالَ : ” اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا ” . |

| ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی ابن شہاب سے ‘ انہیں عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ نے اور انہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ` سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مسئلہ پوچھا ‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ میری ماں کا انتقال ہو گیا ہے اور اس کے ذمہ ایک نذر تھی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ان کی طرف سے نذر پوری کر دے۔ |

| Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Sa`d bin Ubada consulted Allah’s Apostle saying, “My mother died and she had an unfulfilled vow.” The Prophet said, “Fulfill it on her behalf.” |
