| حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : ” مَا أَعْرِفُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قِيلَ الصَّلَاةُ ، قَالَ : أَلَيْسَ ضَيَّعْتُمْ مَا ضَيَّعْتُمْ فِيهَا ؟ ” . |

| ´ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے مہدی بن میمون نے غیلان بن جریر کے واسطہ سے، انہوں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے، آپ نے فرمایا کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد کی کوئی بات اس زمانہ میں نہیں پاتا۔ لوگوں نے کہا، نماز تو ہے۔ فرمایا اس کے اندر بھی تم نے کر رکھا ہے جو کر رکھا ہے۔ |

| Narrated Ghailan: Anas said, “I do not find (now-a-days) things as they were (practiced) at the time of the Prophet.” Somebody said “The prayer (is as it was.)” Anas said, “Have you not done in the prayer what you have done? |
