| حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَقَالَ ” أَصَلَّيْتَ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : قُمْ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے عمرو سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ` ایک شخص جمعہ کے دن مسجد میں آیا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خطبہ پڑھ رہے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے پوچھا کہ کیا تم نے (تحیۃ المسجد کی) نماز پڑھ لی ہے؟ آنے والے نے جواب دیا کہ نہیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اٹھو اور دو رکعت نماز (تحیۃ المسجد) پڑھ لو۔ |

| Narrated Jabir: A man entered the Mosque while the Prophet was delivering the Khutba. The Prophet said to him, “Have you prayed?” The man replied in the negative. The Prophet said, “Pray two rak`at.” |
