| حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : ” التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے زہری نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوسلمہ نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، (نماز میں اگر کوئی بات پیش آ جائے تو) مردوں کو سبحان اللہ کہنا اور عورتوں کو ہاتھ پر ہاتھ مارنا چاہیے۔ (یعنی تالی بجا کر امام کو اطلاع دینی چاہیے۔ (نوٹ: تالی سیدھے ہاتھوں سے نہیں بلکہ سیدھے ہاتھ کو الٹے ہاتھ پر مار کر)۔ |

| Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The saying ‘Sub Han Allah’ is for men and clapping is for women.” (If something happens in the prayer, the men can invite the attention of the Imam by saying “Sub Han Allah”. And women, by clapping their hands). |
