| حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَاصِمَ بْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ” إِذَا أَقْبَلَ اللَّيْلُ مِنْ هَاهُنَا ، وَأَدْبَرَ النَّهَارُ مِنْ هَاهُنَا ، وَغَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَدْ أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ ” . |

| ´ہم سے حمیدی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے اپنے باپ سے سنا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے عاصم بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ بن خطاب سے سنا، ان سے ان کے باپ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، جب رات اس طرف (مشرق) سے آئے اور دن ادھر مغرب میں چلا جائے کہ سورج ڈوب جائے تو روزہ کے افطار کا وقت آ گیا۔ |

| Narrated `Umar bin Al-Khattab: Allah’s Apostle said, “When night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast.” |
