| حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : ” أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ : صِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، وَرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى ، وَأَنْ أُوتِرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنَامَ ” . |

| ´ہم سے معمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالوارث نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوالتیاح نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے ابوعثمان نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` میرے خلیل صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے ہر مہینے کی تین تاریخوں میں روزہ رکھنے کی وصیت فرمائی تھی۔ اسی طرح چاشت کی دو رکعتوں کی بھی وصیت فرمائی تھی اور اس کی بھی کہ سونے سے پہلے ہی میں وتر پڑھ لیا کروں۔ |

| Narrated Abu Huraira: My friend (the Prophet ) advised me to observe three things: (1) to fast three days a month; (2) to pray two rak`at of Duha prayer (forenoon prayer); and (3) to pray witr before sleeping. |
