| حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : جَاءَتْ هِنْدُ بِنْتُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ ” يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ مِسِّيكٌ ، فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ حَرَجٌ أَنْ أُطْعِمَ مِنَ الَّذِي لَهُ عِيَالَنَا ؟ فَقَالَ : لَا حَرَجَ عَلَيْكِ أَنْ تُطْعِمِيهِمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ” . |

| ´ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، ان سے عروہ نے بیان کیا، اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ` عتبہ بن ربیعہ کی بیٹی ہند رضی اللہ عنہا حاضر خدمت ہوئیں اور عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ! ابوسفیان (جو ان کے شوہر ہیں وہ) بخیل ہیں۔ تو کیا اس میں کوئی حرج ہے اگر میں ان کے مال میں سے لے کر اپنے بال بچوں کو کھلایا کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم دستور کے مطابق ان کے مال سے لے کر کھلاؤ تو اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔ |

| Narrated Aisha: Hind bint `Utba (Abu Sufyan’s wife) came and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Abu Sufyan is a miser. Is there any harm if I spend something from his property for our children?” He said, there is no harm for you if you feed them from it justly and reasonably (with no extravagance). |
