| حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : ” وَلَقَدْ رَهَنَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دِرْعَهُ بِشَعِيرٍ ، وَمَشَيْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ وَإِهَالَةٍ سَنِخَةٍ ، وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ ، يَقُولُ : مَا أَصْبَحَ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا صَاعٌ ، وَلَا أَمْسَى ، وَإِنَّهُمْ لَتِسْعَةُ أَبْيَاتٍ ” . |

| ´ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہشام دستوائی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی زرہ جَو کے بدلے گروی رکھی تھی۔ ایک دن میں خود آپ کے پاس جَو کی روٹی اور باسی چربی لے کر حاضر ہوا تھا۔ میں نے خود آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرما رہے تھے کہ آل محمد پر کوئی صبح اور کوئی شام ایسی نہیں آئی کہ ایک صاع سے زیادہ کچھ اور موجود رہا ہو، حالانکہ آپ کے نو گھر تھے۔ |

| Narrated Anas: No doubt, the Prophet mortgaged his armor for barley grams. Once I took barley bread with some dissolved fat on it to the Prophet and I heard him saying, “The household of Muhammad did not possess except a Sa (of food grain, barley, etc.) for both the morning and the evening meals although they were nine houses.” |
